Can I get birth control without a pap smear?!
Question:
Can I get birth control without a pap smear?
Last time I had a pap I was sore for a week. I know thats not normal, and I should get it checked further, but until I get health insurance, I cant afford to do that.
I have endo and want back on the pill to help control it, but I dont want to go thru another pap smear right now to get it.

I am 25 years old.
I have had an "abnormal" test result a few years ago, but I got retested 6 months later and had a normal result.
I'd "really" like to get on the new continious pill that is out.
Answers:
Some Drs will give it to you without a pap, but most require at least blood tests. If you are under 18, you could go to your local health Department and they should do it all for free. I'm not sure about over 18, but it is worth looking into.
