How to research good plastic surgeon??
I have decided to get breast augmentation and want to find a reputable surgeon in my area (santa barbara, CA) but don't know how to sift through the advertisements. Any suggestions? How do I narrow down? Thanks in advance.

Sifting through advertisements is the first thing you're doing wrong!
go to www.plasticsurgery.org.
This is the website for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. To be a member of this association you must be accredited and have special training in the field of Plastic Surgery. (Believe it or not there are doctors that have no official training in plastic surgery but start performing breast augs and face lifts that they study in a book!...not safe!)
Most Plastic Surgeons will have before and after photos for you to look at during your inital consultation.
A MAJOR red flag are the ads for SUPER cheap breast augmentations or lipo.
While Breast Augmentation isnt a long surgical procedure (about an hour) it IS surgery performed under a general anesthestic and has risks and benefits. Those need to be weighed and assessed before selecting your doctor, size of implant, incision location, etc.
