Skipping last week of birth control pills?!

Skipping last week of birth control pills?

I took my Estrostep 2 months in a row to avoid getting my period while I was on my honeymoon. Now, I've had crazy sore breasts, breakthrough bleeding that lasted almost 4 days, and my chin is breaking out...is this normal? Should I expect anything else, like a late period or anything? How long will it take for me to go back to normal?

Please dont respond and say 'dont skip your last week'...i checked with my doctor before doing so and she said it was completely healthy if I only do it once (esp for this reason as I was getting married) Thanks

I've done that too on a different pill but I did it for about 4 months and everything was fone while on active only pills. It took me a couple cycles to get back to normal though after I started taking them regularly. If you are on active only pills it's normal to have breakthrough bleeding..I kept having it and hated it so went back to the normal way. They say it can take a year of being on active only for your body to get used to it and the breakthrough to stop.
