Women Plz Help......Birth Control(Depo-Vera) & Pregnancy?!

Question:

Women Plz Help......Birth Control(Depo-Vera) & Pregnancy?

I took the Depo-Vera shot for the first time 3months ago. I was suppose to go for the second shot on June 18 but decided i didnt want to be on birth control anymore. So since then I've been having unprotected sex with my bf of course. I think i've been having symptoms of being pregnant but someone just told me the the shot last up to 6months....Is this true? & what do you think?

Answers:

Depo-Provera (not just "Vera") will be about 98% effective within three months of the shot. However, it can affect your fertility for up to six months or more after your last shot.

May I ask why you are being irresponsible enough to have unprotected sex? If you can't be smart and responsible enough to have safe, protected sex, you absolutely have no business having sex. Just because you didn't like one form of hormonal birth control doesn't mean that you're off the hook for protecting yourself. I really hope that you are not pregnant because the last thing this world needs is another unwanted kid with idiot parents.

Yes, there is a good possibility that you're pregnant. Take responsibility while you still can and go to the doctor.
