Sebaceous cyst in my vagina? help!?!

Question:

Sebaceous cyst in my vagina? help!?

within the last 4 or so days i have developed a large bump in my vagina which is inflamed and red. it feels like a huge grain of sand right under the skin and hurts when touched. being that i was just at the gyn not 2 weeks ago, i am ruling out any sort of stds (especially since my bf and i have been in a monogamous relationship for over two years). i am not concerned it is something serious, but before i go bothering my gyn over something that can be taken care of myself- i'd like to know if anyone concurs with me about a sebacous cyst, a. and b, what i can do to take care of both the cyst and the associated pain.
thanks in advance.

I get these from time to time. I try to leave them alone.. but sometimes it does help to squeeze them to "pop" them. (Not really the recommended option.) I definitely recommend warm bath.

These can be caused by a staph infection.. ESPECIALLY if you shave. If it is infected, you may need antibiotics.

Go to your obgyn. I did have one of these that did need to be opened in the doc's office. NOT a pleasant experience, but instant relief after it was done. It did require some antibiotics as it was an infection.

You could also have a Bartholin's Duct Cyst.

See your obgyn. You'll feel much better after it's expressed.
