Birthcontrol questions...?!

Question:

Birthcontrol questions...?

1) I know some meds make the pill less effective, but will my anti-depressants do that?

2) It's supposed to be taken at the same time everyday... What would the time gap between taking them eachday? Like, say, would a difference of 15 minutes matter?

Answers:

Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist about whether anti-depressants will interfere with the pill or not. I know the natural anti-depressant - St Johns Wort - prevents the pill from working properly.

If you are on a progesterone-only (mini) pill, then you have an hour window.

If you are on a combined pill (progesterone and estrogen) then you can take it up to twelve hours late without having to count it as a missed pill. You may get some breakthrough bleeding if your take it more then 6 hours late two days in a row. 15 minutes won't make a difference
