Anatomy ? What is function of pubic hair? Is it like an appendix, just out of date ?

it was put there to prevent chaffing during love sessions, hold scent, and to make things a little less vulnerable to infection ans dirt, back when people were primitave and didn't wear clothes.
but other than that it really has no use now, due to the fact that we use lubes...perfume...and wear underwear.
