What is going on? Is this breakthrough bleeding?
Is this breakthrough bleeding? Been taking the pill for 1.5 years with no breakthrough bleeding. Haven't has sex in over a year. Just had sex yesterday (kinda rough) and now bleeding bright red. Period isn't supposed to be for another week.
Also, don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I climbed a mountain yesterday and really exerted myself past my limit.

You over did it.Your break through bleeding is the result of not having sex for awhile.It is common in women who haven't had sex for 3 or more months to have break through bleeding.It is usually because the cervix is jarred.It could also cause your period to come early.Relax you'll be fine.
