hi, i have pcos and because of this i've gained a lot of weight in a little time. my doc put me on metformin 500 mg 2times/day.
anybody else have success with metformin (glucophage) what's the dosage? how much weight did you lose? thanx

I have PCOS, too. From what I understand everyone responds differently to met and on different doses. I took met while trying to get pregnant and really had no significant weight loss. Just a lot of diarrhea. I recently asked my ob/gyn if I could go back on met to lose the weight that I haven't been able to get rid of since I had my daughter and he said that it really only aids in ovulation and doesn't have a significant impact on weight-loss. I've heard conflicting info. on this, so I will definitely be following your answers. I'm sorry that I couldn't be more help.
