Birth control and menstral cycle?!

Question:

Birth control and menstral cycle?

I had very irregular periods all of my life and to help control them, I started birth control a two months ago. The doctor told me that it may take a couple months to get my period right on time, but at the end of my first pack of pills, I got my period right when it was due. Now, however, I got to the end of my second pack, and I'm on my third sugar pill and still haven't gotten my period. Is it normal that my period still could take more time to regulate?!!? I'm just a little worried... Thanks guys!

Answers:

Give it a couple more months, if it hasn't worked by then you might need to change to another pill.
When you are on the pill, you don't ovulate so its not a real "period", your body may take a little while to adjust.
The pill, now days is such a low dose, you might need to try a few before you find one that works for you.
At least you're not getting break threw bleeding in the middle of the month, that's a good sign that given time this one will work.
Good luck
