Could an Overactive Thyroid cause this?

I found out I had an overactive thyroid in February of this year. Since I have been on medication my life has gotten back into some kind of order. Last summer I had strange desires and attractiveness to a married man. Could it have messed up my sexual hormones? I mean a soon as my life got back into order I saw the problem that had been created. Nothing happened sexually but it was like something was going in my mind that was very wrong. I thought I was imagining things that were really happening to me. Has anyone else experienced that was an overactive thyroid?

I am not hyper but hypo, but I think what you went through is normal for Graves disease. I read about the symptoms and destimonies of hypo patients - over drive sexual stuff and desieres along with high libido and things. I think it is totally normal to exeprience this - although like you said it is kind of wacky and weird. Did not mess up your sexual hormones but high desire for sex and such activities are very common with overproduction of thyroid hormones. I am glad you are feeling better now!
