Is it normal to stop bleeding after only a day, after having the merina coil fitted?
i had a merina coil fitted on thursday evening on what i thought was the first day of my period. but have had no more bleeding just some bad cramps, is this normal i expected to have a very heavy period! not sure now if the coil would have been effective straight away. any advice on this would be much appreciated. thanks

It happened to me too.I had mine fitted in January; I still get painful cramps every month, but my periods are very short. I do get a bit of light spotting throughout the month though. Still the best form of contraception I have used though, glad I had it fitted.
Oh, and my husband reckons it has improved my mood swings no end, so we are all winners!
