Problem...please help (maybe a nurse?)?!

Question:

Problem...please help (maybe a nurse?)?

Well, this might sound weird... but I don't know where else to ask because I want to know now. I am a young teen (if this helps to figure out what's wrong). After I go pee (it feels so strange saying this), sometimes I still have to go. Then when I try to, I barley pee. Then I have to go again and the same thing happens... nothing! I don't know why this happens because I don't feel sick or anything.

Please, don't post any rude answers.

I am a registered nurse. I am going to suggest seeing a doctor because this sounds like a urinary tract infection. UTI's have symptoms such as this (which is usually an early symptom) and others including burning during urination (usually the next symptom), an odor, and bleeding during urination (late symptom). UTI's are caused by many things--not wiping correctly after a trip to the restroom-- you should ALWAYS wipe from the front to the back. To avoid bring bacteria from the anal region to the vagina and urinary meatus. Other causes can include douching, bubble baths, not urinating after shaving in the bathtub, not urinating after sex or simply not drinking enough water ( you should be drinking 6-8 glasses a day). You should always urinate after shaving in the bathtub and sex (if you are sexually active) because this flushes the tract. Our urinary tract is very short and bacteria can easily be introduced. Many women do not know why they get UTI's. It is not uncommon or serious if treated. You feel as if you cannot get your bladder emptied and that it worrisome if you do not know why. I think that this is what you have going on according to your description. See a doctor for treatment because there is not any over the counter medications to correct this. There is a medication you can buy at any drugstore called AZO, it numbs the urinary tract. It does not heal the problem but if it burns when you urinate it will help. What you have described is an early symptom and will get much more uncomfortable if not treated. It can also lead to problems with fertility if left untreated. Try drinking more water and less soft drinks, if you do not feel better in the next couple of days see a doctor. Cranberrie juice is also reported to help cleanse and flush the urinary tract. Good Luck, email me if you have any questions or other symptoms.
