Girls only..please.?!

Question:

Girls only..please.?

Hey. I am 17. I have always used pads during periods. I am a college going student so I stay outside home for like 7-8 hours. Sometimes I get worried about staining and stuff. Should I use tampons? Will it be safe? What do you prefer to use? Will it be safe if I don't change it for 7-8 hours?

Answers:

Okay honey, Tampons are completely safe. Don't believe all that "toxic shock" crap... just be sure to change them when they are soiled. I'm 46 years old and have used them all my life. If your having a very heavy flow you will want to use the super, or super + Tampon. I wouldn't go any longer than 8 hours before changing. I always change before bed and in the morning first thing, and once or twice durring the day. If you have any worries, wear a small mini pad with the tampon the first few times you try it. Just be sure to get the tampon completely in you. Good luck!
