women who have a mirena i.u.d:
i like mine so far, except for the spotting. it's been 2 months and i'm still bleeding. does it stop? and do you bruise more easily now? i find that i do, but maybe its just chance. please answer, but don't post stats from a web-site that only lists the bad side-effects. i want women to answer who have had an i.u.d or know someone who has. thank you very much!

I know plenty of friends who have used this and they really got on with it. The bleeding will stop mine stopped after I had been taking the mini pill for 3 months (same hormone used for both) and now I get the most amazingly light and pleasant periods. Some women find that their periods stop completely using this method of contraception.
The bleeding is VERY annoying to begin with but it does take a while for your body to settle into having hormones placed directly into it.
