Medical issues, do I call a lawyer?!

Question:

Medical issues, do I call a lawyer?

I have been having medical issues for exactly one year today. Last yr. I went to my doctor because my hand went numb. I never got a diagnosis only anti-inflamitories. It has gotten much better over time but it's not the same. I've since been having excruciating pain in my shoulder and back, to the point of crying on a daily basis and sometimes I can't stand up straight. I've been to this doc. only to have him give me more anti-inflammitories and another "see me in 2 wks". I have a small pharmicutical of anti inflam. With my symptoms getting worse on a everyother day basis, I went to the E.R. only to have a shot of " their strongest asprin or IBu". in my butt and see ya later. My doc. sent me for x-rays. When I went in I asked the receptionist if they came back and whats up. She asked if I had a rotator cuff injury in the past. No. She said xrays showed something with shoulder and also dejenerative joint disease in lower back. He said everythings normal. He's been in trouble for this b4

Answers:

Yes, you do call a lawyer who will instruct you what to do. First he will examine if you have a case at all, then if he thinks you have, he will ask you to go for a 2nd opinion to a reliable doctor whose expertise opinion can be used in court. You need to take into account the expenses of such a
malpractice suit but you definitely should get legal advice.
