i'm 15. a virgin. and i am pretty sure i have a yeast infection. i havnt told my mom yet, because i'm scared. but i think i really need to tell her. but my period is next week, and we wouldnt be able to make an appt untill monday ( and god knows when they will be able to take me), and this is saturday. but my question is.... is it okay to go to the gyno during my period, i mean normaly i would wait untill its over. but i need to get this yeast infection to go away ASAP, omg its so uncomfortable! This will also be my first gyno visit.

Tell your mom, and you will probably be able to get in to see the doctor asap on Monday if you want. The doctor can still see you even if you have your period. You can probably start taking an over the counter treatment this weekend before you even go to the doc- just run to the drug store and get the medication so you have some relief over the weekend. No need to suffer through these things!
