I have had a coil fitted for about a year and all of a sudden i have started pas!


Question:

I have had a coil fitted for about a year and all of a sudden i have started passing clots,is this normal?

the clots have stopped now and i have been to the nurse but was just wondering if anyone else out there has suffered with clots whilst have the mirena coil fitted? if so what was the cause? please get back to me asap.


Answers:

This is normal. The coil works by aborting any pregnancy in it's early stages. ..Hence the clots.
