Can pap smears detect ovary abnormailities such as cysts, ovarian cancer, etc.?!

Question:

Can pap smears detect ovary abnormailities such as cysts, ovarian cancer, etc.?

This is if there are no symptoms whatsoever. If I had symptoms of pain I would assume a pelvic exam or ultrasound would be the next step. But I am talking if there are no symptoms, can this be detected through paps?

bc the last pap I got, the dr. said while doing the pap, "ok ovaries are good". So I wasn't sure.

Answers:

A pap smear checks for certical cancer or HPV. At the same time a pap smear is done, the doc will do a pelvic exam. If they feel anything abnormal like a cyst, they will do further testing. A pap smear does not check your ovaries at all.
