Damn you, stupid boys! (Which means Girls Only)?

I'm sure this is really supposed to be in Singles & Dating, but I really don't feel like dealing with idiot boys on this question. And it is about Women's Emotional Health, really.

Okay, I'm 19 years old. I'm actually kind of pretty. I'm sweet, funny, and super smart.

Why haven't I ever been asked out?

Other than the fact that I'm shy, I can't figure this out. Is it perhaps that I project this air of not letting anyone in? I've always been one of the guys. Why won't one of these guys ask me out? I've dealt with way too much rejection in my life to even dream of asking another guy out. I mean, I couldn't even get a prom date in high school.

Is it boys, or is it me?

When I say "one of the boys," I don't mean it in the sense of tomboy or anything like that. I just happen to hang with a lot of nerdy, nerdy, beautiful, stupid boys. I just wanted to clarify that. Thank you for the supporting words so far!

boys are stupid, they are probably afraid of rejection just as much as you would be.
boys get really shy around girls, (although it seems that they don't, really they are trembling in their little boots.)

just be more open when your around them, the right one will pop up when you least expect it. (promise!)
