What are some causes for abnormal periods?
I am 26 years old. I have 3 children the youngest being 16 months old. My periods are like clockwork every 28 days since about 4 months after having my last child. I started my last period on June 10 and just started again 2 days ago on the 27th. That's about 11 days shorter than my normal cycle. What could be the reason? I have not changed my diet or nomal exercise routine.

The main and most frequent reason is the stress. If you had some stressed situations recently or been working or living under some kind of pressure, that it is time to try to relax. Think how all this can affect your body. I am sure that everything is OK with you, just have some patience. If you don't feel stressed, that I am sure the problem can be something on the hormonal base. Have you started to take pills recently? Maybe this potential slight hormonal disorder has something to do with being mom for the third time, but still this can't be something to worry about. I would suggest you to find some free time and to go to your doctor. She/him will see what can be the reason and give you every necessary answer to your questions. Regards!
