By, "helps you out" I mean...yeah....gives you a feeling down there.....

If he just uses his hands and they're clean, probably not, but if he uses his mouth, you can definitely catch something. If you want to be 100% safe, have him use a finger cot. Admittedly, not very sexy, though.
