My period is being weird...please help me!!!?

I'm 16 and I lost my virginity a month ago yesterday. I'm still having protected sex with the same guy. I got my period 2 weeks after my first time. I've had it for almost 3 weeks now. The first week was very VERY light. Last week and this week is very heavy and looks like it's not going to stop.

I told my mom about it and she says I should go to the doctor. I said no. I don't want to go because she doesn't know I've had sex. The doctor will ask if I'm sexually active and if I say no, then they will find out anyway, but also sex might be the reason this is happening. If i say yes, my mom will know I've had sex and will be surprised in front of my doctor. Then she'll tell my dad and I will never see my boyfriend again. Oh my gosh, I just don't know what to do. Help me!

Trust your mom. She will understand that you will want to go in to the Doctors room by yourself. She can come with you to the office for support, but when it comes to going back into the exam room tell her you are going in by yourself. A parent only needs to be present if you are under 18 and need a proceedure. Your Doctor cant tell her anything about what you have said, or about your having sex.

Go to the Doctor!
