Hi, I have to go for a round of bloodwork, including giving a urine sample. I just got my period, and it's pretty heavy already. Can you give a urine sample while you have your period, will it affect the results?

the urine sample will be affected because it will show a lot of red blood cells, which normally can be a sign of something else. Just let your doctor know that you have your period when you give the sample, they will let you know if its a big deal or not.
