What does a GYN do during an appointment?
i'm 13 and my mom wants to take me in to see one. its my first time going and i want to know what they do to u first. is it scary? does it hurt? what things can they find out during the appointment? i had my first period a couple weeks ago. details please i'm scared to go

I was your age when I first went too, I was scared too.
Expect it to hurt just a little.
You can find out a lot of things. like if you have cervical cancer, any infections, etc, etc.
Don't be too scared.
It helps a lot and can prevent infections from spreading.
If you have one that is.
I still get scared when I go.
But, it's really no big deal.
And, it only happens once a year.
