What would you do in my situation?i got my period when i was 9 yrs old & it !

Question:

What would you do in my situation?i got my period when i was 9 yrs old & it has always been really bad.?

I cant move 4 weeks, w/o birth control my period lasts on average 14-21 days heavy. If i even try to get out of bed while on my period i pass out within a half hour of being up and out of bed or i throw up, im sick off and on and it has always been a huge burden on my life. My mom would barely ever take me to the gyno b/c she either just didnt care or she was 2 messed up on drugs or alcohol to take me...and when she did take me the doctor wouldnt listen to me and just would say "o thats ok u just have bad periods" i guess bein so young i couldnt describe the serious pain i was in. Well now im 19 years old, i live outside my home and i took things in my own hands by goin to the gyno & he said that it sounds like endometriosis & it seems like its had a very long time of growing to do. But now the hospital wont take my insurance(aetna)for the surgery & i cant wait any longer. Its gotten to the point where it hurts everyday and i hav no life b/c of it. I cant afford the surgery, now what?

Planned parenthood is not going to pay for my surgery.

Answers:

Did you ask the hospital why they will not take your insurance? Aetna is a well know company. I would contact the billing department and have them give you their reasoning for not taking your insurance. If you don't like what you hear, go to a supervisor and if you still don't get anywhere, go to that persons supervisor.

Is there another hospital in your area that will take your insurance? I know your doctor may only have privledges at the hospital that rejected you, but possibly he can turn you over to another doctor that will be able to perform the surgery that you need at another hospital that will take your insurance.

I feel your pain regarding the endometriosis, I had to have a complete hysterectomy at age 47 because of it. I wish you all the luck in world and good health.
