Answers:

When it comes to your health, no question is stupid. Tampons are relatively safe when used as directed and not left in for extended periods of time. I have found that the tampons with plastic applicators make insertion easier, that's just my opinion!! Make an appointment to see your doctor if you are unable to ask questions over the phone or you feel more comfortable talking face to face. You can simply say to your doctor "I would like to ask some questions about my period" , "I have questions about using a tampon", or "What are the pros and cons to using tampons vs. napkins." Never, ever feel ashamed to ask about your body to your doctor. He or she probably has heard your question before.
