My grandmother is 86 should she be taking depo estradi shots each month?

This sounds weird to me but i have never heard of a doctor letting a person give themselves there own shots each month..does this sound strange to anyone else and what shoul i do...

You shouldn't do anything because it is between grandma and her doctor. And it does sound strange to me too. Maybe it is an antiaging type treatment? You know, hormones as the fountain of youth?
