Anemia and Periods- Why am I so lightheaded?
I was recently diagnosed with Iron deficiency anemia- I take iron everyday now- (it was 9)-
My question is about my period. I am due to start soon and I am already dizzy and lightheaded. I know from health class that you fill with blood then the blood leaves-
Is it considered blood loss to your body before it exits?
Answers:
Normal periods do not cause blood loss, its only heavy periods that might cause blood loss. I suggest, once you get your period and if you really feel weak and dizzy after wards (or during) you should consult your doctor and have some blood-test done.
