When is a women's ovulation time?!

Question:

When is a women's ovulation time?

Is it 14 days before your period or 14 days after your period. I know its a stupid question but I was just wondering.

Answers:

A woman who has a "perfect" cycle, will ovulate on day 14-17 of her cycle. To count the days of your cycle, day one would be the day you first start bleeding for your menstrual period.

However, most women do not have a perfect cycle so most women don't ovulate at that time. Some woman can even ovulate during their period. If you're trying to track your ovulation cycle for contraceptive purposes, you should never use it as a birth control method without consulting with a doctor first so you can be sure you're doing it properly.
