I had my period with really bad cramps. I haven't had cramps for a really long time with my period. The thing that threw me off was that I started having what seemed like morning sickness and my breast started to become fuller. I've been pregnant before I know the signs. I 'm wondering if I should go to the doctor. I waiting til my period stops when ever that is because it really heavy.

Answers:

While pregnancy with IUD usage is rare, it DOES happen (about 1% of the time, or 1 pregnancy per 100 users per year).

Because the IUD is a foreign object in the uterine cavity (this is one of the ways it prevents pregnancy - by irritating the uterus), any time pregnancy occurs, there is a much higher incidence of miscarriage, though some pregnancies HAVE been carried to term with IUDs in place (my sister is an IUD baby).

The simple answer to your question is yes. If you have ANY concerns, definitely make an appointment with your doctor. If you were pregnant, and you did miscarry, it would be better for the doctor to make sure the miscarriage is complete and possibly check to see if the IUD is in the proper position (one of the chief reasons pregnancy occurs).
