Im 16 and had my period for the first time in March. i have not had my period s!

Question:

Im 16 and had my period for the first time in March. i have not had my period since what does this mean?

I felt like i was not normal because i was older and had not gotten my period. So when i got it i was relieved but then i didnt get it the next month. I thought that was normal because i had just started. But the then it was two months then three and now im freaking out. What does this mean? After i missed it the second time i talked to my doctor and he said that it was ok but if it continued to contact him. Im scared what if i never get it again of what if im sick?

Answers:

I was 15 when I got my first period. It didn't come until a good six months later! (I was freaking out to=). My periods were so incredibly irregular...I went over six months for the next one and went into see a doctor. He prescribed a medicine to help regulate it. (Prometrium) It finally did help!

Since this is your first period....don't worry. You will get it..and you're not sick...just irregular like me!! If it doesn't come in a few months look into seeing your doctor again. It stinks not knowing when and if it's going to come...but hang in there=)!

One more thing: Whatever you do...don't go on birth control pills. You don't want to be on those tings. That's an "easy" fix...but just a temporary one. Your period will become irregular once you go off them again. I went on them when I got married...and just went off them this past December. I had to go on Prometrium to help regulate it again. I would have never gone on them if I would have known that.

Hope this helps=)!!
