Implantation Bleeding?!

Question:

Implantation Bleeding?

I am on the pill and last Tuesday I started my period. It stopped Friday/Saturday but Monday morning, after I took my first active pill of the pack the night before, I had slight brown discharge. Was this the end of my period? Could it possibly be implantation bleeding if I just started my period 6 days before that??

Answers:

Birth control pills commonly cause breakthrough bleeding, which is what implantation bleeding is usually mistaken with. I can't tell you if the bleeding you experienced was implantation bleeding or not. I can tell you that it usually occurs about two weeks after intercourse, so if you can't fit that on a timeline of when you've had sex, you can probably rule implantation bleeding out. The only way you'll know for sure is to wait for your next period.
