Birth Control Pill Users - Please Read!?!

Question:

Birth Control Pill Users - Please Read!?

So I'm *super* paranoid about pregnancy. Last month (I'm on the pill), my period came a week early and then came again when it should have. I then had sex during the placebo week but used a condom and even took Plan B due to paranoia.

This morning (I'm in my first week of active pills), I took my BBT in the morning just out of curiousity. It was 98.5, which seems unusually high. I was awake for a few minutes and got up, so I don't know if that affected it.

Do the hormones in the pill affect BBT??

If anyone reading this is taking the birth control pill, can you take your temperature and tell him if it's higher than you would suspect?? I would be SO grateful...please..

Answers:

98.5 is normal body temperature (98.6 to be exact)

pregnancy usually doesn't yield a high temp. the only time a bbt will be elevated is when you're ovulating (then it's around 99.2)

i wouldn't worry about this too much-it sounds like your super careful about protecting yourself from getting pregnant.
