How do i tell...?

ok so at school - or at camp i often have to go change my pad/tampon... how do i tell my teacher/counseler? also we have to go with a "friend" to the bathroom and it is a little awkward... how can i tell them that i have my period? all my teachers are girls and very understanding but still it is awkward... also how do i tell them i need to got to the nurse to get a pad/tampon or midol?

I understand completely!!!!!!! When I first started I needed to go change between each class because I was flooding. I know the last thing you want to do is tell the entire world you're in misery!!! You might try saying things like, "I'm cycling, gotta change." or "I'm needing supplies from the nurse."
