Pregnancy test question about hCG?!

Question:

Pregnancy test question about hCG?

With a test that involves detection of hCG in urine i know it is involved with a protein involved in building the placenta (is that right?) thus for "early detection". What if the test is taken later on in the pregnancy ie. a few months like 4 or 5. Would a positive result still come up. Thanks.

Answers:

The pregnancy hormone called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, which is made by the placenta, test check for that hormone in the blood or urine. If you check it again in 4 or 5 mo the hormone level would be higher than before.
