Sexual harassment at daycare?!

Question:

Sexual harassment at daycare?

I've been sending my son (2.5 years old) to the same daycare for about a year now. I was very happy with it until recently. Last month or so, they hired a new employee who, to be quite frank, creeped me out a bit; he seemed really "schmarmy" - used car salesman like, you know? Anyway, when I picked up my son today, this man came up to me and said "Hey, Veronica! Listen, me and some friends of mine are starting this new website, and I was wondering if you want to be a part of it." I was like, "...uh, maybe... what's it about?". Then he said, "Well, listen, I'm sure you know you've got great **** and so I think you'd make one hell of a model for our startup website about MILFs." At this point, I slapped him, picked up my son and stormed out. Can I sue for sexual harrasment or will he countersue for battery because I slapped him??? What should/can I do????

Answers:

He's clearly an a**, trying to approach parents of kids at a DAYCARE for a porno site. And yes, if you try to charge him with sexual harassment, he most certainly has the right to retaliate by charging you with battery.

First of all, if you're comfortable, and trust the other daycare persons, which I assume you do since you've allowed your son to attend their for a year, tell THEM! They need to know what kind of person they've hired, and should at least realize having him around will be bad for their business.

I would also stress to them that you will take your son to a new daycare if no actions are taken, and that you are going to warn the other parents of the incident, and will be speaking to an officer about pressing charges. Whether you do these things or not, is you choice, but I would tell them this regardless. And hopefully, everything will work out best for your concerns....

AND if no actions still take place, it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring in the attention of the local news station.
