Teenage girl, stretch marks all down legs?!

Question:

Teenage girl, stretch marks all down legs?

I'm a teenage girl and I have stretch marks all down my legs. I'm not fat, and my mom said it's because I grew over a foot taller in a year. But it's still very embarassing and I can't wear shorts because of them. What can I do to get rid of/lighten them?
Mederma wouldn't be a good choice because it's a small tube and the stretch marks are very abundant...
Please help me, this situation has totally ruined my self-esteem!

COCOBUTTER!
i had streacht marks so bad on my boobs. it honestly looked like a cat was stuck in my cleavage and it was trying to claw itself out. i couldnt even really show off my boobs. (really disappointing for being flat chested untill the age of 14) my mom is a nurse and she gave me some cocobutter from the store. and i always applied it everytime i got out of the shower and before i went to bed and when i woke up. in about 3 months they where compltely gone. i could wear my bikinni without my self esteem lower than dirt!

As people look to get rid of their stretch marks there are a lot of items on the market that claim they will do the trick. The majority of them include Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter, which are said to make the stretched skin become firm, and more supple and may lessen the appearance of some stretch marks.
For the most part, these items need to be used at least two times a day and must be spread and worked into the skin so it can be absorbed and begin to work. Other advice is to make sure to start using this cream as soon as you notice the beginning of any stretch marks on your body. The sooner these creams are used, the more successful the treatment of the stretch marks will be. I only did mine so much because swim suit season was like right around the corner. In addition to the over the counter items to get rid of stretch marks, there are also prescription creams that are available to do the job on severe stretch marks. You may have heard of creams like Retin-A that are known to help remove the red or purple colors in newer stretch marks and keep the resulting scars from being too pronounced. While these are great results, this medicine can only be used on relatively new stretch marks, of a year old or less.

If money is not a concern, the most successful way to get rid of those pesky stretch marks is to look up a doctor and schedule a cosmetic laser surgery. While it may seem extreme, many people who could find no other way to get rid of their unsightly marks have found success down this road. When someone undergoes laser treatment, the laser actually vaporizes, and breaks down the skin’s tissues, removing the scar tissue. It often takes 6-8 treatments to see that it is working well. Unfortunately, It does not work on all who try it.

Instead of having to look for ways to get rid of stretch marks, the better option is to not get them in the first place. Since stretch marks are rips in the skin, they are damage that may never be able to be repaired. Instead, focus on weight maintenance, gradual muscle gain, and a healthy diet that avoids rapid weight gain that could stretch the skin. i hope this helps you!
