Question:

How do i put in a tampon?

I would ask another female but I live alone with my dad. I don't really have any other relatives around here. I just tried but it wouldn't go in al the way and I just started my period today, so I'm waiting for it to get heavier so it'll be easier.. any tips?

THIS MAY BE LONG BUT READ THIS IT WILL HELP!!

well i would wait a little bit, like you said until your period gets a little heavier. but when you do ...

you might need to use a mirror to help you see what you are doing - set it on the toilet seat

you stick it up your middle hole, and you put it n on an angle, the diagram in the tampon box might help you with that

IF THE TAMPON DOES NOT SLIP IN IT IS IN THE WRONG SPOT!!! YOU DONT ANT TO JAM IT IN THERE AND CREATE A NEW HOLE

once you get it in there push up n the smaller tube and both tubes will gradually slip out- throw these in the trash- if you feel any discomfort or you can see the white padded part of the tampon still then it isnt far enough in there

anyway, at first get the tiniest tampons you can find so it will slip in there - i used tampax lites at first they are cardboard applicators and they are kindof uncomfortable but they're small.
it might hurt a little at first but it shouldnt hurt that bad

if it hurts too much wait for a couple periods an then try it- your hole might be too small right now and might need to grow-sorry i would call it the proper word but i dont know the proper name for the hole-

when you take it out if it hurts then the tampon might still be dry if your flow stopped. it might hurt but you have to get it out of there so as awkward as it may sound hold tight on the string and just rip it out of there as hard as you can.

re applicate after every 1- 2 hours ( depends on how heavy your flow is) dont leave it in for more than 3 hours though you could get an infection and have to go to the doctor and that would be painfuly awkward with your dad.

anyway im glad if this helps you i had some trouble with this also pretty recently so and i had to try it like a million times before i got it cause no one would explain it to me.
