Unhappiness, or Stress (it can be hard to be intimate, even with someone you love if they are doing something that is making you unhappy, or feeling as if don't even know the other person anymore. It could be like having sex with a stranger, and some people NEED to feel intimate to BE intimate)
Inferiority complex
He may feel as if you don't appreciate him and question his own sexual prowlress. Or he could be having a problem with 'the boys'.
Last but not least, he could just bored with sex; it happens.
Sometimes the mind needs to be just as stimulated as the body...more often than it's given credit for. Start with cuddling and work from there.
