The blood from my period is like a dark brown almost black looking color. When i put a tampon in it feels like there is something blocking it, like there is something in the way and it hurts a little. Is this normal for a period? I'm 15 and i've had my period since i was 9 and never experienced this. I am sexually active.. but only protected sex, and the last time i had sex was a little over a month ago, before my last period(had no troubles with my last period). I've only had sex with one boy and that is my boyfriend of 2 and a half years. He was also a virgin. So.. please help, is this normal or what? Serious answers only please. (Please no too young to be having sex lectures either)

I've been having sex for like a year and a half now.. this is the first time my period has changed in any way.
