How do birth control pills work?!

Question:

How do birth control pills work?

I don't understand...if BC pills stop ovulation....why do you still have a period?

can someone explain everything to me?

Answers:

The bleeding during your period is not from the ovulation. It is simply the reaction of your body to not having an implanted egg. Since the BC pills keep your eggs from implanting, the body usually continues as normal and releases the lining of the uterus (where the bleeding comes from).
