she smokes in teh car and i can hardly breathe
HOW DO I GET HER TO STOP

You won't. She is an adult, and very well aware of the health risks. Tobacco is very addicting, and breaking the habbit can be worse than kicking cocain for some people.

If you really want her to stop, stick by your opinion. However, she is your mom, dont be obnoxious about it. The biggest thing is to never start smoking yourself
