I am on my period right now and a couple of days ago, i noticed an odd rash in my "area" it burns to pee and it itches terriblly!! My mom thinks i have a yeast infection because i was sitting around in a wet swimsuit all day yesterday. I dont know what to do but for the past few days i have been applying vagisil....it isnt really working either! i dont have an STD!! i am going on vacation in only three days and i want to get better before then!! please help!!

Try applying some Sudacrem to the area to calm it.

Start drinking cranberry juice [an urinary antiseptic] to ease the pain of urination.

If you have any really smelly discharge (the liquid that appears in your knickers) or it is yellow or green, this confirms that it is a yeast infection, so you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. If you go to the doctor tomorrow she will give you tablets or cream and you'll be fine.
