I HATE my birth control! HELP!?

i was on tri-cylcen lo for almost 4 years---loved it!---but recently my provider stopped carrying it so i had to switch to trivora 2 months ago! since then, i have gained 10 pounds, been severely moody, completely lost my sex drive and because of all this my relationship is struggling and nearing an end all because of this stupid pill!!!!! has anyone else had these problems, specificially with this pill? ive been told i need to stay on it, let my body adjust and then things will go back to normal but i just dont know if i can take it!!!! people say i am not the same person anymore, and i had no idea a pill could do that! please help

I have not been on this pill but I had the same problem with a pill called Microgynon. I was on it for six months and had exactly the same symptoms you describe. I'm now on Logynon, which is a phasic pill, meaning you get different dosages of hormone depending on what point in the month you're at. It's much better.
Ask your doctor if you can try a different brand, some people just don't get on with certain makes. Tell them that you're feeling really awful and you'd really like to try something different, maybe a phasic pill. Phasic pills are known to be helpful if you suffer from depression or mood swings when on monophasic pills.
