Answers:

Heavy bleeding, sadly, is a part of life for some girls. Don't worry, you are perfectly normal. As for not starting on the same day, that's okay too - it takes a couple of years for your periods to settle down and even then they aren't usually anything like clockwork.
If your periods are really heavy and painful then yes, it may be a good idea to go on the Pill. Although you're not having sex, it will help make your periods much lighter and less painful, not to mention much more regular. The Pill can also help clear up troublesome skin problems and decrease the risk of certain cancers. It's not for everyone, but it's worth a try and for a young person any serious side effects are very rare. I recommend you go to your local family planning centre or your GP. They will ask you some questions, take your blood pressure and so on and then if you agree to try it put you on a three month prescription. You may love it or it may just not be for you at this time, but if your periods are bothering you it's definitely worth a try. It was an absolute life saver for me. :)
