i was told about 3 years ago that i had polycistic overies,and that is why i have always had irregular periods,i went and lost over 3 stone in weight to see if it would make me have a reggular cycle,it did for all of 6 months and then wen't back to not coming at all or having 2 in a month,along with this i had sooooo bad cramp,my doctor told me i would have to go for ivf to have children,but this all seems a bit extreme so i just left it,as i had read that if i could regulate my cycle then there would be chances that i could concieve naturally,so now my problem is,i would like to go on the contraceptive jag!!cause i have heard that it stops your periods and then maybe after a year stop it and see if my periods regulate,but i would like to know if this is true?and also is my boyfriend just being an ***? cos he doesn.t want me going on it saying it is not natural,as everygirl should have periods!!listen to him but it's not him that has to bleed for a week or have freakin bad pains!! help
Answers:
the jab can stop periods but it can also cause them to come on non stop, the hormones in the jab can cause depression and OTT PMT, i had a really bad experience on it.
POS can cause infertility, my sister in law has it, went for IVF, tried for 8 yrs for kids, then gave up. She now has 3 children under 5 the mad fool, all conceived naturally.
if i could stop the periods forever, risk free, i would they are a bugger, but as yet there is nothing out there to do that.
