Has your gyn every told you that you have.....?

Dense breasts? And if so, what does that mean?

Mine told me I have fibro cystic breasts, which I think would be the same thing. It's been several years since she said that and I haven't had any problems.

Here's a sentence from the Mayo Clinic website. "Dense breasts contain more glands and ligaments — and less fat." It said it's harder to see lumps on a mammogram of a dense breast so if you find a lump the doctor might suggest further evaluation.

It's nothing to worry about and it shouldn't cause you any problems but like all women, do self exams and get your yearly exam.
