I haven't had sex in literally forever (year at least). Not on B/C, 40 yrs. We used pullout method on a Sat. Used a condom on Wed Friday I got my period. (around usual time of month)
How safe is that cause he doesn't trust condoms, and how soon after your period are you the most likely to get pregnant?
I need to stop my period this month and maybe next month. He leaves for 18 months and we don't want to waste our time. Can anyone help us out???

Answers:

You can have sex while on your period if that's what you mean. If your partner is okay with it, then there shouldn't be any problems. It's healthy and good for you!

You should not be using the 'pull out method' for someone who doesn't trust condoms that sounds crazy! Pulling out may reduce the chances of pregnancy, but you can still get pregnant through pre-ejaculate.

You can get pregnant any time of the month, even during your period. The average time a woman ovulates is around day 14 of her cycle (day 1 being the first day of her period), but some women ovulate twice a month, during their periods or not at all. You should always use protection!!

You should see your doctor about getting some form of birth control. You have a few options not just 'the pill', you can get a IUD either non-hormonal or hormonal, use the Nuva ring, the Ortho Evra patch, the Depo-Provera shot or a less effective diaphram.

You can use 'the pill', the nuva ring and the ortho evra patch to skip your period. The depo-provera shot may stop your period completely and I don't know about IUDs.
