I had sex..............................?!

I had sex.........................

for the first time in about a year and i started to bleed.I have recently had a cervical smear and it was clear.Should i ask for another one ?

That's to be expected unfortunately because when you go that long without sex your vaginal walls tend to thin which makes them more suseptable to that. Regular sex keeps the vaginal walls thick and strong and healthy much the same way brushing your teeth keeps your gums healthy. Even if you don't have a partner it would be a good idea to use an insertive toy once in a while, at least once a month.
